Sport Court® is the Official Court Supplier for the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship. It is being held December 15 & 17 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH. There were also some pregame issues that needed to be handled before the big match.
Secondly, leading up to the Columbus installation, Sport Court’s Events Department was issued a challenge by the NCAA. The NCAA held the Division I Women’s Volleyball regionals at four campus sites. These were not determined until after the first and second-round play concluded on December 3. Also, after the announcement of the sites, Sport Court’s Events Department was tasked with coordinating shipping logistics. It also had to collaborate with school facility representatives and the NCAA to install the regional courts in time for matches.
Lastly, the NCAA director spoke on the impact that Sport Court had on the tournament. “Sport Court does a tremendous job of working through logistics with the four non-predetermined Regional sites. Our goal is always to provide our student-athletes with a great championship experience and partnering with Sport Court, the student-athletes know that when they step onto the court at regionals and finals, they are one step closer towards a national championship.” – Kristin Fasbender, NCAA Director of Championships and Alliances.
Moving forward, with regional matches under their belt, the Sport Court Events Department is now focused on the NCAA Championship Sport Court Volleyball Court.
