We are honored to announce a partnership with the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, The Chicago Park District, Body Armor, and Coca-Cola to build these two brand-new full-court basketball courts. These new basketball courts are located at Jackson Park on the corner of Lake Shore Dr. and E Hayes Dr. These courts were revived from old, cracked, uneven asphalt courts with uneven rims to these the courts that you see now.
These courts feature our PowerGame + surface in the Lakers’ purple and gold team colors. PowerGame + is a premium cushioned athletic surface designed for lateral sports. PowerGame + offers lateral forgiveness and shock absorption technology to protect the players and reduce the risk of injury. These courts feature many special custom logos. The free throw lines include Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s jersey numbers encircled by a heart. The center circle reads “Kobe & Gianna Bryant” with butterflies surrounding the circle. The sidelines feature #Play Gig’s Way which is a hashtag Vanessa Bryant created to honor Gigi. The Hashtag serves as a reminder to play the game of basketball with hard work, dedication, love, passion, and respect for the game. Logos for the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation and Body Armor can also be found on the baselines and sidelines.
